Just slowly loosen up one of the fittings that connect the fuel line to the log then with a rag under it. If you go slow you will be fine.

So i finally got the motor out late late last night and started the tear down. Noticed my exhaust valves were a burnt orange on the back head and on the front head the exhaust valves were burnt orange and a little white. My lifters and pushrods were fine. No sign of wear or anything. The pistons have some weird grime like stuff that looks to be burnt onto them. Gonna drop the rest of the oil here a little later. The water pump was definetly going out so luckily i picked up that Electric Meziere Water Pump from UR LOSN. Gonna pull the cam and everything else out later on as well. Probably gonna take the block and have that cleaned and what not. Couldnt i just take a steel wire wheel to the pistons to get whatever the coating that is on top of it off? Will upload all the pics to photobucket and will have them up a little later as well.
Clean the pistons, those are potential hot spots. I usually use the wire wheel on the bench grinder.
Alright heres all the pictures so far. Block will hopefully be back from the hot tank monday or tuesday. Got all my parts from INTENSE. Except the heads. Those will be here sometime hopefully next week. Had to send lower intake manifold to INTENSE to get matched to the heads along with the aluminum LIM gaskets as well. Also sent the Double Roller because the crank gear would slip on at all. Tried grease and everything but no damn budge.

My backyard...I knew I had been robbed
Haha i wish i had 10 money trees. Would be able to have like 10 GTP's fully built. lol jk. But heres some pics of the new parts.
Gonna get rid of those Comp OE-R lifters...only waste of money I see in that picture.
just dont get the ls7 lifters from the dealer. like 75 bucks a PEICE.
also fyi the cooper rtv is not to be used on anything thats gonna see gas like head gaskets or anything. might wanna go with the red rtv
aw ****, you got MLS gaskets too? you do know that a lot of people have a hard time getting those to seal for the pure fact that they are layered and have a tendency to leak coolant, right? should have gone with some stock ones or felpros. there is a whipple car running felpros pushing 550 whp. you dont need those metal POS'.
i agree. i used BLACK all over my motor and thats all i used.
Use ultra black or ultra grey for engine stuff. Or use "the right stuff RTV" if you don't want it to come apart again that stuff is nasty, but seals stuff like a sob.
really?? i have not had an problems with the red, sealed up my waterpump pretty good.
never heard of the right stuff. sounds like thats what i need in my toolbox
go to their web site it says what the use for each is including the thread lockers. The red is the worst because it is not sensor safe, does not like oil, and is corrosive.
Only use Red for Exhaust IMO.
Well the cam is going back because the damn thing doesnt have the key on it where the big gear for the timing set goes on. So gonna send that back. So i can use stock head gaskets with the INTENSE Stage 4 Heads? If i can get away with using stock head gaskets then **** ya. They sent me .52/3.84" bore MLS Gaskets. Does that sound about right. Just got the block back today and got it painted red. Will be posting a few pics here a little later.
