No kidding it's really loud in the winter.

Just get used to it. Any aftermarket intake makes that sound and its louder with the SC.

IF you think its loud now try having a ported SC and TB. Mines got a howl...

The wife hates it and told me it sounds like ****. I told her to kiss it she's not the one who drives it. Don't get me wrong I love my wife but I love my Car too.

If your neighbors hear your intake tell them to turn their Beltones down.

One of the few things I don't think I'll miss about the 3800. The boxer is quiet as a mouse until you get on it, the turbo spools, and that deep boxer grunt comes from the exhaust.

Won't happen for a while. I had the Imp's exhaust for over three years. Not itching to get back to a noisy car.

i have the same issue with my intake. i dont mind it at all, and if my neighbors do, good! F them!

but anyways on to the reason im here right now, i was wondering if any of you guys' intakes make a high pitched whistle almost turbo like sound when you step on the gas? maybe its just an N/A thing....

Maybe you have a hidden turbo you didnt know about! Does ur car oddly run 12sec 1/4 mile? :P.

But seriously i had a car that used to do that and the cause, or so i was told, one one of the pulleys.
I have also heard that different intakes can cause this especially if you have a TB spacer. Cant know for sure tho.

That is because the Northstar's IAC doesn't make that kind of insane loud noise the 3800 IAC TB does.

Yeah, I've got it too. Never bothered me enough to try to track it down, though.
