When cold and warm, my car idles normally - cold start it sits around 1200rpm, and then settles to around 850rpm when warm. However after a bit of "spirited driving", the engine wants to idle high...sometimes way high...like 2500rpm high.
The only thing I have checked so far is that the throttle linkage isn't getting stuck (throttle % reads 0). What are some other things I can check? I have an Interceptor Scan Gauge, so I can read thing such as -
Ignition Advance, Pulse Width, Misfires, Long Trim B1, Engine Load, TCC Slip, CMD A/F, Map KPA, Maf lb/m, and Map Frequency.
Would readings on any of these parameters help with determining what is causing this uber high idle? Also (ala thread title), can anyone describe / point me towards the IAC motor so I can see if that is causing this nonsense?
Thanks in advance for any help.
