    Hey guys, thinkin about puttin a couple flowmaster on the GTP. I know everyone has there own opinions about the sound, so please, lets not make this an opinion thread. I drove a 93 F150 with NO exhaust for over a year, so Im sure ill be fine . just wanted to know what everyone else was using, what sounds good, what size inlets and outlets I need, etc, etc. If anyone has any vids, please post em up! thanks all

    i hated mine so i ripped them off and put a stock catback on the car.

    they drone a lot.

    anyone know the stock inlet/outlet sizes? I'm goin with a set of pacesetter headers (prob) and a high flow cat. prob jus leave the stock exhaust piping on, pull off the resonators, and add the flowmasters.

    If you pull of the resonator you might as well cut your ears off like van gogh did.

    if i leave the resonators on, and throw on the flowmasters am I still going to get a good deep sound? and inlet outlet sizes?? i know someone knows!!

    yeah, the mufflers make the sound, but the resonator keeps down the drone and rasp. you want to keep it.

    if you have stock exhaust the mufflers are actually 2" in/out. the rest of the catback is 2.25". usually upgraded catbacks are 2.5".

    flowmasters suckk! bottom line do what i did its cheaper and sounds way better! go to advanced auto and get thrush welded mufflers 2.25 inlet and outlets theyre nice and hell and 92 bucks for both
    hogan 3inch DP u bend delete ,180*tstat, autolite 104s, LED interior, 4" FWI, 2000watt system, bullitt rims, zzp pistons, pems, alt rewire, thrush muffs, 3.4 zzp mps, transgo shift kit, triple edge performance trans. autometer triple pod :SOON: urlosn HPT PCM tune, HEADERS, 1.9's

    that is a hell of a deal. flowmasters were lookin to be twice that if not more. and thanks bluegtp, i thought there was two... FAIL. brand new car, so I havent even had it on the lift yet. I'll look into those thrushs'. Anyone else have any input on wat gtpjoe jus said?

    Yeah there is a local guy that has them. Wanna know why they are cheap? Because they sound like crap. Get Dynomax Super Turbo's, Flowmaster 40's (and a glasspack), or keep the stock mufflers and get headers...end of story. But you always want the resonator...some poeple say get high flow cats...I say keep the stock res and ditch the cat...but everyone has their own opinion.

    dude my thursh welded muffs sound nice so idk what ur talking about ASK BWOLFGT he loves my exhaust notes

    so i bought the thrushs', and at the exhaust shop he cut off the mufflers and I asked to hear it with just the stock resonator and no mufflers. sounds perfect. so i returned the mufflers and am jus running the stock resonator. surprisingly its not very loud. ill try to post up a video a lil later when i find my camera

    here's mine: knock off flowmaster, pacesetter, 3" crush bend exhaust, no cat and wbody store resonator. i think my exhaust sounds good and yes it's very throaty and loud that's why i put the resonator back on to keep it like that. i see a lot of people thinking by cutting off cat/resonator will make it sound good. imo i think you if you have cam, rockers or heads you will get that deep exhaust note that we all want, that is if you have the cat chop off but i leave the resonator on tho.

    you definitely need a resonator OR a glasspack on every exhaust. i wont have one on my TBSS when i get it, but that is an ls2.
