Ok first - the piping off the MAF to the air filter came off....only had it on for about 100-150 miles not sure when it came off but hopefully it didnt suck up too many nasties, usually not too much dust / debris around here.

    Second
The PCM appears to be leaking a red fluid...cant be ATF havent messed with any yet to possibly get it in there..any thoughts?

Third - Plumbing / Wizair step up method
The way the kit steps up the size to the 4in is with 2 1/4in-ish sheets of rubber taped to make a ring and one goes over the other one. so it went from stock 75mm maf surface, inner rubber ring(slick rubber to MAF - grated / rough to outside) outer rubber ring slick on both sides.

I first just tried to re-install it the way it was. Once the hose clamp started to torque down it would slip the whole thing right off the MAF

As a temp fix i flipped the inner ring so the rough part was towards the MAF, Also made sure all the hose clamps bolt / tighteners were clear of the box incase maybe the motor moving back and forth in the stock mounts caused them to snag and pull it off.

Took it for a test drive after getting it re-installed and it was still on, but need to get around to doing it proper, like the air box, like the K&N...dont like the plumbing....

there shouldnt be any fluid coming from the pcm... really have no idea what that could be outside tranny fluid.. but again i would have no clue as to how tranny fluid would get up to that part of the engine bay... as far as the piping coming off before the maf... it should be alright because there should be a screen on the maf sensor piping.. that would stop major things for a short amount of time.. but definitly should be fixed asap... and as for the wizair piping... best bet is pvc... it sucks cause i used 3 inch piping because the stock maf is 3 inch and i didnt want to try and mess with the maf too much in fear of breaking it...its a 22.5 degree bend off the tb straight back to the wizairbox... i like the pvc because its staright smooth tubing unlike the air duct wizair comes with that looks like the duct from a dryer... good luck with everything i hope i was of some help

    Problem: Wizaird

Solution: TDC Racing Fenderwell Intake or Custom Made by yourself

The problem is the Wizaird is junk, just like 99% of all the other company intake systems for the 3800 platform. There are many issues with it and those are evident...as for the fluid...sounds like something else, like filter oil? Since you said it was red it sounds like a over use of K&N Filter oil.

Bah the box is alright, the way its plumbed in is pretty crappy tho.

But yea the box isn't worth 200 bucks, should have just fabbed something up for cheap - especially since i have to re-do the plumbing for it anyway.

I'm a bit worried about a FWI sucking up water if i get caught in the rain / hit a large unavoidable puddle

Yea didn't realize the K&N filter had red oil on it, first time using one and it came pre-oiled.

Unless you forge the river by devil's rock with typhoid fever...you won't have to worry about water in your fenderwell intake

The only thing I noticed about the FWI is dirt...I had a KN FWI in the cobalt and at the time lived down a gravel road! When we took the SC apart...wow....it was DIRTY! Someone told me it was due to the dirt roads not sure...Now I have the FWI in the prix and when I do drive down a dirt road I go like 5mph! And I did notice water on my filter the other day...So when it is raining I try to avoid going threw alot of water.

Or, yet another solution...get a Open Cone setup off the MAF and put a intercooler on it and don't worry about it.
