Every time I get on the gas hard at all one of the belts starts squealing. i replaced both belts like 10k miles ago. Its been doing it since I replaced the belts. Only thing I can come up with is the s/c belt tensioner is wore out. Car does have 206k on it. I can push on the belt and it moves the tensioner with what I think is pretty little effort. Maybe when I installed the new belt it was kind of on its last leg and when I had to crank back on the tensioner it kind of set it off If you know what I mean. Thoughts on this? Should I get a new one? they are like $94 at autozone. I do plan on doing a rebuild on this car some day and having it for a while, so im not looking for a short term fix.

    New tensioner for sure.

If not...are you running a stock pulley size? If not...then you need a smaller belt.

yea im stock pulley and belt size right now. fwi plugs and wires is the only thing ive done to it. tring to decide if i want to spend the money and put struts springs and rebuild the motor and tranny. because with 206k miles thats what i think its gonna need to be reliable. lol so yea stockish for now.

Get a low mileage setup on the side and build it IMO...only way to go...then buy some spray and bottle the crap out of it until it blows and break stock GTP records like no ones business

lol the last thing i need is another car right now. im tring to get rid of these multiple projects. i really like the car. bought it from my uncle who put all those highway miles on it. nothing really wrong with it. rear springs sag and half the interior lights are burnt out but it runs like a top. so idk only time will tell lol
