Yes no mufflers just a 26 inch Thrush glasspack in place of res and then y-piped out to the tips. Other then that everything else is stock. This clip sounds very close to mine, may not be fo everyone but sounds good to me.

Well my legs arent that long to rev it and stand behind it LOL. But yes I have stood behind it and listen to it. I know eveyone has their own idea of what "sound" is the best, but I like it.

just my input: i had headers, no cat, cherry bomb in replace of resonator and stock mufflers.

cherry bomb barely changes sound. only sounds a little louder and sounds really nice at idle.

I agree the glasspack is only meant to remove the raspy sound when running muffles. As for me with only using the glasspack in place of the res and no mufflers I think it sounds good. I had Magnaflow mufflers with no res, that sounded like crap, so then I added the glasspack and it sounded really nice at idle but sounded like crap when driving. Then i said F it and removed the mufflers and left only the glasspack and it sounds good to me now. Did you hear the car in the link I posted? Maybe thats not the sound for everyone, but as I stated everyone has their own taste for exhaust note.

yeah i know i decided to take a vid of my flowmaster and listen to it. and yeah inside sounds better LOL.
but its not too bad. but it could sound loads better with borlas or somethin. thats why im gonna change it. eventually:P
That white grand prix sounded good, but seeing those revs of GPs with just glasspacks.. i donno...

Well my friend came up with an idea. seeing how our exhaust is basicly single then turns into the Y. What would yall think of putting a glasspack on the right before the Y put a muffler say a borla prox XS thats single in dual out and basicly use the muffler as the slit and run straight pips back to the bumpper

what's the different between that and running two mufflers? the only thing i see as a problem with that is when there are two mufflers you tone down the exhaust twice as much.

That is what mine is right now...except it is a single outlet race muffler that is "Y"d...and my exhaust is still loud.

It might do more if I actually had a muffler LOL

They all have a rev limiter from the factory. Why would you want to free rev any higher than that? Free revving is very hard on engines. Worse in some ways than beating it hard going down the road. You could probably tune out the limiter or set it higher if you wanted if you have or know someone that has a powrtuner or HPT.
