I live in Ontario and its mandatory to get your car emissions tested every couple of years, and my mechanic/friend told me that if i were to get rid of the ubend i would have a hell of a time trying to get it to pass? is that true?

Should be fine as long as you reinstall the O2 sensor.

changing out a bent pipe for a straight pipe is not going to effect emisions. that gutted cat will tho, that is your issuie.

its not always that hard to find someone to pass it for you, just cost some money...

you can still pass with no emissions parts so long as you turn all the codes to no report. since it is OBDII they should just be plugging it into the port to see if anything comes up. i have no EGR and i can still pass.

depends on if they do a visual inspection or just a code inspection.

there are ways around these things though.

downpipe should take care of it unless you get a shorty.

Well they put the car on rollers and a hose on the tailpipe and measure it, its not just codes. i know people who can pass me by running a different car on the rollers with my vin in the computer but im just trying to make it legal and stuff. lol who does that
