im sure its been said before.... but i want to delete my resinator and cat and u bend all at 1 time i dont think my GTP is going to see headers so i just want to be unique and run with my idea. can i get a piece of pipe drill out a hole for the 02 sensor and weld a bung in it or have a shop weld a bung on w.e. anyways my question is what would be the recomended sizes of length and inlet outlet size ? i want to get a raspy LOUD noise lmao thats the plan haha. will this work any tips? how much you think it would cost? do you really gain HP and better flow? thanks

id just get a 3" downpipe without a cat and then delete the resonator all at the same time.

for the power gain youre going to get from the cat and resonator delete it really doesnt justify how nasty it is going to sound.

Come on, look who is asking.........

Just leave the cat on, have the muffler shop tack in a 2.5" pipe from the end of the cat to the bend at the gas tank. And have them drop in an O2 Bung for the sensor. Should only run about $100-150 bucks. Good luck with the droan you are gonna have in your car now too.

I'd say 3" DP (cat in or out its up to you)

Have the shop make a U-Bend Delete...mine did it for $50...and I'd leave the res. Taking out the cat/u-bend and installing a DP will more than make enough sound Taking out the resonator makes it sound like epic dog s**t

I understand where you're coming from but really, there is a reason the resonator is in there and trust all of us, you won't like your resulting exhaust. There are plenty of suggestions above for getting a louder exhaust while still maintaining sanity

What performance upgrade do you get from a glasspack instead of the fact resonator? what kind of sound difference? is it a 3" or 2.5?

it sounds different. i run a 2.5" because there is no reason to run a 3" exhaust on an m90 car. it sounds more throaty and doesnt make such a nasty exhaust note up top, but it still sounds like garbage.

i have stock mufflers, by the way.

will at overkill suggested that I get a 3" cat back to go with the rest of my mods, then pcm modification. I have the plog and 3" dp with cat. I am not sure if I want the 3" cat back. I will be sending out for the pcm in a couple of weeks, because I do not drive the car in the winter, so not in a hurry. any suggestions about the cat back? I did not think it was necessary.

catback is not necessary, i put mine on for sound, and then switched back to stock mufflers because i hated the sound. my set up now is TOG's, ZZP TOG DPcatless, dynomax res, to stock mufflers. its louder inside because of the headers but thats just what headers will do for you
