what is the point to gutting a stock air box? i realize that you can get better air flow over a stock air box but why not just build a FWI or ram air intake??

    Back from the dead???
I was directed to this thread from someone else, who cares if it's old,it's something us cheap broke @ss people can do when our cars cause us money we once had but had to put it towards things such as repairing the key stuck in your ignition and the only way to get it out is with a screwdriver, the tranny won't shift out of park without a screwdriver, and on the list goes.

yes I'm a bc chick, actually the only chick that owns one of about 5 gtp's on the island.Wish there was more people like you guys in my area to help out.rebuilding my Z28 and fixing it is soo much easier than my gtp..sighhh.

    thanks for the warm welcome..lol

I didn't know, give me the details man.I hate having to pull 2 screwdrivers out of the glovebox to get my key out and the other to take the car out of park.Although it does make it a theft deterrent..lol.Go ahead and try and steal it but if you don't know what the hell to do you aint going know where...haha

There is a white solenoid in the column...after removing the dash cover you should be able to take off the bottom of the steering column...then all you'll need is a phillips head to remove the solenoid. DONE!

Oh...and more pics of you LOL

now taking out that solenoid,is it going to mess anything else up? Like I said I can build and work on other older cars but this gtp scares the shiat outta me.I feel like if I look at it the wrong way it'll pop a fender off or do something to be a biotch. The worst part is that the car didn't do any of this until a month after the warranty was done..go figure hey?I'm slowly learning the wiring and common crap these cars do and how to fix it and make it faster,a little more complex than the mustang gt and the Z28.

And post more pics up of me....I'll think about it.I'm just another chick absorbed into racing and building cars since I was a kid, nothing special guys.
    2002 GTP-lots of fun,lots of issues
