Hey Guys....I;m not sure if this is the correct place for this but here goes...
I'm about ready to push my 97 Supercharged Grand Prix in to an open field...throw in a stick of dynamite and run. Coming home from work on a Friday, on the highway making the exchange from one highway to another when I noticed the tach was at 0. Threw it in neutral and tried to start it...it would run only briefly with an occasional 'Low Fuel" light (i had 3/4 tank of gas). long story short I was able to limp it off the highway, call a tow truck and had it towed home. Went and got a replacement fuel pump and got it mounted in the tank. Thank to some brilliant weenie in production they no longer make a pump with the same plug so I had to rewire the new one I got the fuel sending wire for the gauge hooked up, then checked to voltage on the two power leads.... 0 volts. . Pulled the connector off that's in the trunk and measured it there... 0 volts. Oh, by the way, I replaced the fuel module under the hood (#14) and confirmed the fuse was good and that I have power at the fuse. I also tried several combinations of swapping module #15 and #14 with the new and old modules...still 0 volts in the trunk...
I have run out of ideas....short of wiring two lines to the trunk with a toggle switch to power the pump on/off... just kidding...I know that would not be the right fix. Any thoughts from the experts?? Fortunately I have borrowed a car to drive my 45 minute one-way trip to work and back but I need to get this piggy running again... Thanks Guys
