Radiator Fans not working

I have a 2000 Grand Prix GTP. The radiator fans won’t turn on unless I unplug the coolant temp sensor. I’ve checked the relays and fuses and wiring and it’s all good. The coolant temp sensor works, the dash will show the temp, does that mean the sensor is working or could changing the sensor still fix the fans? At this point it’s gotta be either the sensor or the PCM. What is the most likely scenario?

change the temp sensor. its a two part deal, one reading goes to the dash, the other to the pcm. if the pcm see's no signal it wont turn the fans on.

theres also a short harness temp sensor to main harness, it fails too. so if you see cracked insulation or bare wire, change that as well.

Yeah I thought about that but I couldn’t find the harness at the junk yard anywhere. Changing the sensor fixed the problem though. Thanks!
