What is this part mounted on a '05 GTP supercharger ?

Well, I can't upload a picture that I prepared...
It is a part mounted on the supercharger, near the EGR valve. It has an electrical plug and another line (wrapped with wire shield) - this line has a tee with a green cap that says "Hand Tighten Only", and this line goes to a block that has brake lines connected to it.
The part mounts into a bore in the s/c, and is held with only one bolt. (The leaky o-ring on this part is what is giving me misfires).
It's not the s/c actuator or bypass solenoid (those are toward the front, whereas this is at the back and air inlet side.

you could only be describing the evap solenoid. and its line runs back to the gas tank. not the brakes. that cap sounds like the ac lines to me.
and how do you think a small vac leak is causing misfires?

It really sounds like you have somehow connected several different parts together. But somehow I think you are talking about the vacuum tree on top of s/c?

Thank you very much. That is it !
- The cap is definitely on the vapor line near the solenoid. Yes, it is very similar to capped A/C schrader valves (I didn't want to touch anything at this point).
- Yes, following the line got fuzzy as it went down, and being integral to the brake lines made no sense to me at all.
- I have had misfires for a long time, and have tried many things. When I replace the o-ring on the valve, and the misfires stop. (Since the o-ring (Viton) hasn't been fitting very well, it gets squished out, and a leak must happen shortly after.) The leak here seems to be one of several that, in culmination, have sealed up vacuum leak problems. I now believe that vacuum leaks are a very big culprit to misfires that are easily glossed over (I know I did).
Thankyou again!

Yes, I had some investigation a little mixed up, but it is not the vacuum tree on top. It is the evap vapor purge solenoid valve, positively. Thank you for looking.

Fwiw, the green cap is always a test port for the EVAP system. It's a universal place to hook up a smoke machine (as long as the car has one).
There may be another purpose, but i'm yet to find it.

Thanks, onxy. Good to know.
