This is my first post on this forum. I was a part of clubgp years and years ago. Anyway, my 2000 Grand Prix GTP has not been started in about 6 years, it's original problem was a bad fuel pump (or so I believe).
This weekend I replaced:
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Coolant Flush
Battery
Oil change
Spark Plugs (Auto Lite)
I used Marvel's Mystery Oil To lubricate the pistons
& I also pulled the ICM Sensor to crank the engine before attempting to start it.
The car has about 110K miles on it but I replaced the engine shortly before I stopped driving it (Thanks Ed Morad!) with an L32 with about 15K miles on it. When I cranked the engine, I could hear the Pistons moving and I know that's a good thing.
TLDR START HERE;
When I attempt to start the car, gasoline literally shoots out of the Bleeder (Schader) Valve on the fual rail... Like 4 feet high (At least I know the pump works !). Why would this be? I tried to google answers but it's a no go. Should I replace the valve (I googled the valve but can only find the A/C one; can it even be replaced? Fuel pressure regulator? I also fear that I may have accidentally damaged a fuel line when I jacked up the car to replace the fuel filter, part of one of the lines was under the jack. It looks undamaged but maybe I missed something?
Any information or help would be GREATLY appreciated. I can't wait to start driving this car, again.
