Hello all, long time no talk. I just got started working on my 99 Grand Prix GTX again and put a motor in it from my old 97 gtp, but i cannot get it to start. The starter doesn't even engage. I have a brand new battery and all the fuses are good, but i dont have anything. When installing the starter i see several other wires around and i am not sure if they go to the starter. I have the main power cord going to it and then solenoid wire and then 4 other wires. I have tried to put them to the positive connection of the starter and still get nothing. I have been searching all across the web for a photo or some assistance but have not found anything. Along with the start i have not been able to find the location of where to put the main ground to the block. When i pulled the running motor out of the old 97 gtp, i didnt see a ground wire go to the motor, but now this one has it, any ideas? I have put it on the main bolt that hold the start to the block which allows for all the components to start to get power, but still no start.

I believe the starter is not working due to an alarm that is active on the car, not positive but this is my only belief that could be stoping the starter from cranking. The radio has also stopped working out of the blue.

Any help would be great or if anyone is in phoenix, AZ come on over and assist if you like.
Life goes by so fast, so why drive slow.

you got a small purple wire, that goes to the solenoid, then the pos and one other wire with a square looking eye let goes with the pos cable on the large stud on the starter.

any black wires go with the neg cable on the trans bell housing bolt that has the stud and nut on it.
