Hey guys I've read through the forums and there was a thread that said to get size 660 for a 3.5 setup with no ic on a grand prix. So i did and the belt is way to long. Longer then stock so I need to know what belt to use with a 3.4/3.5 setup on a 99 grand prix with no ic. Thank you!

You used to be able to run the stock belt if you compensate with installing a larger idler pulley.

I'm pretty sure it's slipping occasionly I'm getting belt squeal and on some runs I'll be getting 8.5-9 lbs of boost and then on other 7.5lb

i made 12 in the winter 10 in summer on a 3.4 and stock belt, yours is not slipping unless your belt is shot.

if you really want a shorter belt, drive to a parts store and ask if you can test fit a few belts, figure out what stock is, try one a 1/2 inch shorter, most stores will let you do this. ive yet to find one that wont. most of the time they ask you leave your drivers lic for collateral. how i got my belt for the 3.0 and 3.2 pulleys.

That's probably what I'll have to do should be to hard just to find a belt ever so slightly smaller then stock. Why do you see so much of a psi difference from weather is it the density of the colder air. I knew it fluctuated but I never thought there would be that much of a difference

cold air is denser. so more psi.

tell the parts guy what your doing, he can figure out how long your belt is, and then give you a shorter one. all them numbers on the belt add up to it size.

O ok. I watched this video on YouTube and the guy wired it up to replace the narrowband but it was on a miata and his o2 only had one wire. It would have been awesome if you could do that haha. Also my original plan was to just wire it up to my aftermarket head unit just because it's so easy but on the instructions it says not to for some reason. So what would be the best place?

the fuse box is my first choice lol

get a add a fuse, put it in the wiper fuse and now you got key on power.

Where'd you get your stock belt? How long is it?

Don't take this the wrong way, but you've got it routed correctly?

There's a unused plug that's already routed to the fuse box on its own fuse in our cars it's behind the glove box. You can buy zzp's drop down harness to plug right into it or just cut the plug off the one on your car and splice into it. There's 3 wires a ground, constant power, and an accessory wire which is where I hooked my aeroforce to so the gauge shuts off when you turn the car off.

looking at the above list of what belt size to use with the specific pulley, a 660 is smaller than stock, as it should be. the stock length for a gen 3 car is a 663, if you look, you will see. This is the list I have been using:

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...elt-size-chart

One thing I have noticed is that if a belt wrap kit is used, a longer belt also needs to be used, but so far I haven't seen any information on what belt size to use with the specific pulley and a belt wrap kit.
