I have a 2004 Comp G and I am starting to plan out the next Mods. It is a daily Driver so nothing too crazy.

    Currently It has;
    3.4 modular pulley system
    Wizair intake
    1.8 Yella Terra Roller Rockers
Pacesetter headers w/ 2.5 magna flow cat and mufflers.
Overkill box tune for the mods I have.
running zzp coils, wires, XP 104, new ICM
    cooler thermostat
    Throttle body spacer (I know..lol)
    ZZP full build transmission.
fuel pump rewire, voltage booster (not installed right now), alternator rewire
    Aeroforce interceptor scan gauge.

I am thinking that I am going to do the following.
~Short stack intercooler. I think a new modified fuel rail??
~Bigger injectors- any suggestions on which ones??
~Throttle body and MAF - again any suggestions?? I am not sure about the options on the 04+ drive by wire.
~High flow fuel pump - brand suggestions??
~maybe a smaller pulley 3.3 or 3.2 depending on knock
~I will probably buy a Tuner so I can custom tune after the mods are complete. I have no idea how to tune but hopefully the helpful people here will be willing to help!!

Thanks for any help or suggestions offered!

your in OH, swap to E85, its all over out there aint it? fuel pump rewire, a new pump larger injectors, like 60's and drop to a 3.0. tuner is key to owning a modded car.

i just helped a guy in NC swap to e85, he says its pretty crazy how much power its added. he pretty much said 20% throttle now off the line on corn is equal to flooring it when he was on gas still. same mods as you pretty much, gen 5 headers, and 1.9 rockers.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

There is no other throttle body upgrade.

MAF upgrade is only needed if you are already close to or will be outflowing the stock one, that's where a tuner would for sure tell you.

Stock pump with a rewire should be good yet with regular fuel.

I will pay closer attention to knock but I have not seen it over 3 degrees since the trans upgrade.

I will admit I am completely clueless on the E85. I thought it was bad for cars until I seen a few mentions on here. Is there a thread that explains everything about it and what is needed for the conversion. It is at every gas station here

If you have knock now, I wouldn't be doing much for adding airflow into the engine because that will just make it worse.

I'd work on the tune itself to make it better then think about adding more boost.

no big deal. you might be ok with 42's, but 60's will probably be better. E85 works very well as an intercooler.

swapping to e85 is cheaper then installing a IC. and you'll get more out of corn then a ic.

the rules are if you dont have e85, you run a ic. e85 is a easy way to drop pulleys and turn up the timing and make free hp pretty much.

guy im helping out said he used to get 300 miles a tank, now on e85 he gets 240, and hes been at the throttle a lot due to the fact he drives like a nut. lol his tranny hates him, its all stock lol and e85 is only 130 a gal. so that mpg loss is canceled right out.

42's will be maxed out, you need at min 60's.

OK so 60# injectors, special E85 fuel pump, and a new fuel filter. I will have to get a tuner, seems like dhp is the preference? I will start buying the parts required until I can afford the tuner. I think the E85 conversion sounds like the most economical power choice here.

if you find everything used i bet you can be around 500 or so deep, with a dhp in that cost. a new ssic is 500 or so. fsic even more.

injectors new are about 180 iirc. pump is about a 100 or less, re wires are about 50 ish iirc. brand new dhp interface is 250. they sell used for about the same.

theres 2 for sale right now here, both come with laptops all ready to go, no setting it up. one comes with a wide band set up too.

Thanks a lot guys. I am definitely going to do the E85 setup. I already have the fuel pump rewired so that saves a little. a few months away but I am exited to do something different

I'm thinking I will need to upgrade the MAF when I change over to E85. What setup are you 04+ guys running? I have a wizair so I may have to get rid of that in order to get the plumbing correct for a new MAF.

you can run the stock maf till you pulley down so far that the you out flow it. and then you would do a N* or lt1 maf and tune for it of course, not like you can just change it and be ok.

I don't think I can do N* on my 04????? Should I pick up an LT1 maf? I'm hoping to drop to a 3.1-3.2 with the E85 conversion so I will probably be out flowing the stock. I believe that my MAF values are around 10,500 WOT in the cold.

likely be able to run a 2.8. and yes you can use the n* maf. not the tb, your stuck with yours forever. dbw issues.

im on gas and a 3.2 and not even close to max on my 98 maf. its even the stock file still, i tuned the injectors cause i got 42's.

Ahh okay, sorry I misread the N* part. I will stick with stock then until I need to change it. Man, 2.8 would be nice. I'm starting to pick up the stuff for the conversion. I'll grab the pump and possibly the pulley soon. Probably the hardest part to find is going to be the tuner.

you can buy a used dhp for 200 or less, or new for like 250 ish. theres a few for sale here, or there were.......they dont last long.

or a hpt will also work, they cost more in the end, but you can use it on about any car.
