are you talking about the combustion chamber side? Don't know why you'd wanna do that. They're gonna get dirty right away again. Unless you're talking about refinishing the seat area....then I'm out. That's the part I leave to the pro's.
umm just want them to look good for the pics lol.... my valves have 116k on them just wanting to make them all like new, one of those things that just make you feel better , like fresh underwear ya know lol....
Ok well that is pointless but if you really want to do it then I would use a wire wheel and some sand paper or something like that. Just don't touch the seat area.
300th post
carb cleaner will help some, really avoid anything abrasive especially on the stem, and seat, unless they will just sit on a desk
well my buddy is gonna do a 5 angle valve job on them maybe ill just see what they do.....
where does he work? if it's ross they will clean them very well (only machine shop I use up there)
im not a fan of them, theve turned into a bunch of hillbillies, they laughed at me when i brought my heads it for a quote on new seats.... but my buddy works at MCR in metamora.. its a dirtbike/quad/snowmobile shop... its where travis pastranas bikes are built, but he did my head for my old talon..does great work and its free...
