They don't have a drain plug from the factory and this is why. They leak. You could get another pan and put it back original or maybe try to put a better drain plug in a salvage pan and then swap. Or re-do what you have. Any option involves removing the pan.
Do you have a picture of your current pan so we can get an idea of what you got?
No. You need a new pan. Junkyards are required by law to drain transmissions when they get them, and they poke holes just like that, an put a rubber plug in them. That shouldn't be there at all. You need a new pan.
Dorman makes a replacement pan with a drainplug in it for like 30 bucks if that interests you. I imagine you could find a stocker cheap somewhere tho.
I think it might just be the filter that broke. Don't think i have one here to look at though.
