97-08 can all take the same dp
It's not really a "bad" converter the catalyst is just rattling around. A stock replacement is rediculous compared to the ZZ Performance down pipe.
Why not get a catless dp and get the code tuned out?
Tuning cost more than what I am willing to pay. Im keeping it stock for now.
lol I wish
There is an Ohio thread? Didn't know that....
Are you from around my area?
I'm about 2 hr 30min to the east. Did you know about the meet in Dayton on the 1st of September? You could have your code deleted then if you got the DP installed by then.

Southern Ohio doesn't have inspections anymore, E-check was one of the most unpopular things around. Save yourself the $40 and get the catless, so long as you don't mind the crispy smell coming out your tailpipe. It bolts in pretty easily as long as you aren't fighting with rusty bolts, IIRC you need a 13 or 14mm socket up front and a 15 in the back, two bolts come off on both ends, stock downpipe comes right off, put some gasket sealant on both ends, bolt the new one in, good to go.
The front bolts are in an awkward position though, it's a PITA to get out if you're dealing with stuck bolts/don't have a good extension (like I was - a fifteen minute job turned into three hours).

As far as tuning out the P0140 code that the car -will- throw if you have a catless, just come to the meet - I'm getting mine tuned out on that occasion, too. IIRC dsmuts was charging $20-40 per tune, correct me if I'm wrong?
