Russ.. trans is fubar
Slick.. The harness from a newer can be made to work, but he'd need to repin it. Which.. it doesn't appear he's ready to do. Which means.. like you said. "tim...get a 97 harness)

Fair enough. My friends being an ass about it so ya
Hell.. I swapped my 97 Bonneville over to a 99 harness and pcm. Then to pass emissions since my vin had to match and I didn't have DHP to change it.. I made a converter from the top of a 99 pcm to the wiring connectors of a 97 and then stuffed a 97 pcm in it for the whole two miles
So thats the only difference is vins
No ****. Ya dont say

Got to work something out with the seller. He came down to what I wanted to pay , including shipping to my home address via ups frieght. very straight up guy. Nice to work with
So, i got a little confused with the vac routing. Mainly because I was referencing this
I was confused because the write up said to connect the top of the BBV to the "tree" an the bottom should see atmosphere, but didn't mention anything about the SC bypass solenoid. Because of this I didn't know if i was suppose to run a line from the lower BBV nipple to the solenoid and have one of the nipples on the solenoid seeing atmosphere or if i should delete the solenoid and just have the bottom nipple on the BBV see atmosphere. After asking Snowth1ef I learned the the SC bypass solenoid should be deleted and that it is in fact the lower nipple on the BBV that must see atmosphere.
In order to possibly help others I modified the above diagram so that it showed the correct vac routing for a topswaped 3800
