sorry if this was answered. i have read 7 pages straight. that was tiring. okay. i got a hell of a deal on an m90 alone. next is the remaining parts. first off who knows of an intake base that will adapt the m90 to the l36 heads? another thing, someone said something about using the l36 balancer? possible? i didnt see extra grooves for the s/c. who has a belt routing diagram for the s/c motor? and computer tuning. im not worried about emissions. can i just use a gtp computer on my car? the zzp tuned ones wont work. plus i dont believe i have the hd trans, my dad said i do based on the axle nut sizes? they are larger? i dunno. but some guy wants 300 to tune my comp?!?!? thats the price of a tuner!!! if i got a gtp comp would it be cheaper to program the vin? or a way to make it work? something. im on a budget looking to do this as cheap as possible but i realize this will cost me $$$X$$$$. and if i grab a s/c fuel pump are the fuel lines at the pump plug and playable, or do i have to run new lines?
yah i know lots of questions, this prolly aint all of em neither lol. remember i read 7 pages to please dont be an A$$ to me if i missed something.
thank you
Sorry if this was also answered. Can I do a top swap on my 95 Park Avenue? Its a series 2 3800 and all that crap. Not worried about emissions or anything. I'm new to all the computer stuff. I work at a junkyard so I can get basically whatever I want for free.
zzp sells a lower intake to mate m90 with NA heads, its a meh set up at best. grabbing a L67 balencer, idlers heads and lower intake would be a better route.
96 and up is obdII, 95 could possibly be. i would grab a HD trans and computer and wiring harness for cheap if you can. the HD trans does have a shorter passenger side axle due to bigger diff.
i would get the harness and ecu and the whole motor and trans if possible. obd II wont play with obd I converting I to II isnt hard
if you beat it like it owes you money.. yea its going to break.
be nice to it and it should live for awhile
But it does owe you...
I'm going L26 and my only real question is is worth it to change out the timing chain for an L67/L32 one? If I'm not mistaken the chain for boosted motors is set to line up 2* retarded compared to the NA models and thats better for a boosted application. Only other thought was if the timing cover is the same for a direct swap for L67 accessories.
I was under the impression the N/A set is 1* advanced.
Stock valvetrain or what?
Because if you dont change that, you'll be highly disappoint.
Even with rockers and an intercooler I think the cars lacking.
Then again, I have issues.
