    Hey guys,
I have been running a check engine code on my '08 Grand Prix. 3.8L.
The code was P0411: Secondary Air Injector Incorrect Flow.
I replaced the Smog Pump (electric air injection reaction pump) as was told by many people. That was Saturday.
I then cleared the code with my code scanner. Monday my check engine light came back on running the same code. I checked all the hoses to make sure they were connected, and then cleared it again. Then today, the light came back on again with the same code. The guy at advanced auto said the only thing he can think of is it being the Air Cleaner Check Valve, which is a very expensive part. For starters, where is that located on the engine? and does anybody know if that is what could be what it is? and if there was a way to test it to fix the problem rather than replacing it? or what other things it may be? or if there is possibly a way to bypass it so that it doesn't run the code, and will still pass NYS inspection.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jake

    Checked the fuse?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

If the hoses aren't the problem, the pump's not the problem, the fuse isn't the problem, the relay isn't the problem, then perhaps you'll need to check the wiring for a short - perhaps it's rubbed somewhere.

I checked the fuse today, and it is good. Where is the relay located for the air pump?

It should be labelled on the lid of the fusebox. I'm spitballing there, because I don't have one of these pumps.
