Okay, just recently i had my engine replaced in my 98 GP GT.

Just the other day i tried to turn my heat on but nothing hot came out.

The heat worked fine before i took it to get fixed, so i have a feeling it is just something they forgot to hook up.

A/C works fine, but when i turn the temperature to hot, after a second it just feels like i turned the A/C from full power to lowest. Cold air still comes out, but just very little.

Where should i start looking for the problem? Hard to drive without a warm defrost in the morning.

Edit: Just went and ran the engine for a few minutes with the heat on. Then i opened the hood to feel the heater core hoses and they both felt cool. Not warm like the main radiator hose felt but just normal temperature. Figured this might be helpful, although i have no clue what i may point to.

You probably will have to re-bleed the coolant system with the heater on full blast. You probably have an air bubble or no coolant in the heater core.

How do i bleed the system? Do i have to bleed it at the thermostat or is there a safer way that doesnt involve hot liquids spewing out at me?

Hot liquids aren't going to "spew" at you. I do it all the time. Just warm the car up until your upper radiator hose is hot (means the thermostat is open). Put a socket on the small brass bleeder valve on top of the thermostat housing. Open it slowly. Air will come out (that you probably won't noticed) and eventually you'll see some coolant ooze out slowly (since you were opening the valve slowly it won't come out fast). Close valve, and done.

Oh. Well that sounds a lot nicer than the way i understood it.

I plan on draining all my coolant and backflushing my heater core tomorrow, so hopefully a thorough cleaning will get my heat back on track.
