2004 3800 Series 3 gt.
This is a used car that currently has a Magnasteer rack and pinion which has never been plugged in since we've had it. It needs changed and the service sticker calls for an N40 rack and pinion.
Autozone lists two options, magnasteer and non magnasteer. Question is, would the non magnasteer be the right option for the N40, or would it need to specify that it's an N40 to work? Also, would the power steering lines line right up, or would they have to be bent in order to fit?
Has anyone here installed one of these racks (non magnasteer) on a similar car?
I know there are probably better racks, but would like to save a few dollars if it will work.
