The PCM in my car nuked itself. I snagged a replacement from the junkyard. What do I need to do in order to make this PCM work in my car? I know I will probably have to perform a security re-learn, which is detailed on Intense's website.

I have HPT at my disposal and a copy of my stock tune. Would I be performing a "write entire" on the PCM?

    Thanks for the advice guys.

Since you gave us about enough info to fill a thimble, yeah..that's what I'd do. I'd toss your old tune onto the pcm and go for it.

I wrote a tune to my car on Saturday. Drove it around fine for a couple days and then on Monday morning the car refused to crank or start or anything. Speedo shows 30 MPH, RPM's at 1100. A relay under the back seat is clicking at 10's of times a second, and the Service engine light is flashing in conjuction with the relay. The relay in question is the parking light relay. For what it's worth. The PCM is from another Bonneville but an SSEi.

Thanks for any info guys. Sorry for the lack of original lack of info.

To write a file with hpt, keep in mind you have to have the vehicle being written and also the vehicle programmed currently in the pcm unlocked.

If you got an 02 pcm from a Bonneville nad you have 02 Bonne unlocked, you are set.
If you only have your vin unlocked..youre pooched.

*sigh* I hope it's an 03. I have that entire year unlocked in the HPT.
