i just did a head and both intake gaskets, i no its not common that they go out. my cooling fans wont come on and they work before i started doing the gaskets. i replaced the temp sensor and still nothing, had a friend come over with his computer and try to remote start it and it worked so the relays are good. any ideas what else could be wrong? thanks

Have to let it get much hotter than that.

Do the fans come on with AC?

Seems kinda odd that they dont come on with the AC.

But here is a picture of the fan settings.

    My next question is:
Does your AC work? If the system is interlocked by the pressure switch the fans will not come on.

His buddy was able to command the fans remotely so the fuses/relays should be good.

Keep in mind the screen shot from FFDP is a 2007. I have seen earlier models with slightly higher low speed fan settings.

And...definately odd on the AC. Any codes popping up? Maybe the AC request is being overridded like Rico mentioned

It says that the CC override is disabled... Don't you want that Enabled?

No idea, that is a stock 2002 file from HPT.

It says its a climate control override, I guess it for controlling the fans through the digital hvac system, I think, but I'm only guessing.

I would try enabling that, then see if they at least work with the A/C on.

Its not my car though lol, I was just showing the fan settings of a stock 2002 car.

Its always disabled it looks like. The OP has to figure out why his fans arent working.
