I have everything for a top swap and PEMS but I want to be safe and go with the standard pulley and headers. This is my daily driver and I drive more than 400 miles per week often more far from home. Is there a set of headers that will last for the life of the car and not leak? I don't want to be gooping RTV every six months and worrying about something cracking. It seems like every thread on headers involves RTV parties, I have the original short block and maybe I'll just freshen it up and use it with the PEMS. Thanks in advance.

Thank you both, is there a thread with this fix?

no, just take the rear header to an exhaust shop and have them cut the flex in it out and weld a good one in

I'd get speed daddys if you wanna keep price down. Get ZZP's flex pipe and weld it in instead of the one it has.

If you want to spend a little more, TOGs are usually a safe bet.

With Speed Daddy's, just make sure you use band clamps and Accuseal clamps, not the crap ones they come with.

Better than clamps, have your headers welded. I bought my pacesetters pre welded, and I don't have any header leaks.

I don't use RTV when installing headers. If you read posts by me, you'll see I dislike the mention of doing it. Get clamps from FrozenBoost.com instead of the ones they give you and one trick.. when putting the crossover/front on, leave the cross over loose and tap the headers at the front/crossover connection area as you tighten the bolts for the front. That'll seat things nicely.

I don't accept leaks from headers. There's no reason to.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Are the clamps from FrozenBoost that you're talking about the T bolts? If so I'm not a fan, the Accuseal clamps worked much better for me.
