The flex will more than likely leak. Get a zzp flex to fix that.

this. my speed daddys are great except the flex is a leaky whore. definitely get one from zzp and fix it before you install it. and you'll thank yourself later.

The one in my hand is the 3in ZZP flex, buy that and weld it in the same spot. You can see the difference, the ZZP flex is doubled walled and wont blow out and leak.

i hit way to much stuff w/ my crappy sd ubend and i blew out the flex
so if i cared i'd get it fixed soon, but may have to wait on the wideband to do it

i thought about that actually. but i've also heard that the flex can collapse internally and cause flow issues so i figured replacing it was the only thing to do really.

Speed daddy and pacesetters are not the same design. Pacesetters use a flange at the front crossover, have dual pipes feeding the downpipe/y etc and overall are located in areas that are harder to get into. Speed daddy's with some better exhaust clamps are rather good.

They don't necessarily leak at the flex. The flex is a cheap thin wall. This was also found on the SLP headers. Replacing it before you install them or wrapping it with header wrap will quiet it down and make them nicer overall.

The one thing I dislike about them is the location of the O2 bung in the rear header. It requires you to either relocate it or dent the firewall for clearnace.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

yeah i didnt realize about the O2 being so oddly placed.... i had to cut out my firewall anyway to make room for headers... i wish i would have seen that when i was doing the cutting and pounding. but oh well... have another O2 bung down low and my new cat has another bung for when i get the wideband put back in.

i love my SD headers. even with my car lowered i havent hit anything. so the ubend isnt as bad as some people say. mine has a leak... but its myfault and i just dont feel like fixing it yet. i have the take it all apart in a few weeks anyway to do the topswap so figured 1 month of a leak is livable.

My Speed Daddys never leaked even after hitting the u bend a few times maybe I was just lucky. If I had to install another set I would buy the ZZP flex and install it at the same time as the headers just to be safe.

You can use them on the N/A grand prixs but I have been told that you will lose some low end torque
I purchased them for my 2000 gt but haven't installed them... might just wait until I get a supercharged engine to really use it to its full advantage

you will lose low end torque without a doubt. i lost it on my gtp even (i live in a big city) and it was quite a bit to notice. now that i've pullied down the torque is more than it ever was so it doesn't matter.
but yeah. just keep that in mind. it spreads the powerband out instead of it being concentrated on the lower end with the stock manis.
