So I heard a pop and seen a little smoke come out from the side of my hood, while standing by my idling car. I sat inside and immediately knew my belt blew. I put the car in drive and tried to get as close to Canadian tire as I could. I got close enough to park the car before it got too hot and go get a belt. When I went to put the new belt on I realized that the belt blew because the tensioner pully seized. In a bad mood I went back to Canadian Tire to pick up a new pully. Back at the car now and not really thinking I reefed on the nut holding the tensioner pully in the wrong direction, "Counter Clockwise" Stripping the threads in the tensioner housing. When I finally realized what I had done it was two late so my question is. Does anyone know of a fix or repair for this stupid mistake. I see that the nut will thread without the pully on so it must be threaded right through but the bolt is two short with the pully on, and of course a reversed threaded bolt even the same size is going to be a challenge to find.
