To me it seems that I am not getting very good has mileage, in city I am getting 14 to 16 and for my normal highway driving I get 17 to 19 but if I take a road trip I will get 25. I am not sure if this is normal or not any suggestions would help. I also put 93 octane if that matters.

That is normal if you want so improvements on gas mileage change the way how you drive. But i just look for autoparts that could help me increase my mileage and i figured out K&N air filter can add additional mileage also bosch spark plugs. So far that is what i know FOR NOW i always keep research for quality autoparts.Originally Posted by Zyrebel

Yea I already have a K&N air filter and just replaced my spark plugs 5000 miles on them.

its normal my GT gets the same milaege. its in the gearing its like a 3:69 or something. you get alright city but highway you get 25-29 depending on load and other factors.

My last tank was about 17 w/city driving and 5-10 min of warm up time as it is getting really cold here in MN. High of 0* F Sunday and -15* F Monday morning.
In the spring, on the freeway cruising at 65-70, I can get close to 30 if I have the air off and there are no hills.
BUT, and I mean BUT, I am driving 75-80 on the same freeway with the air on, my mileage will plunge to 24 or so.
I am bone stock n/a @ 121,000 miles. I seamfoam each fall by puting 1/3 to 1/2 can through the brake booster and the rest in the gas tank.

I've had tanks where I average 13 combined, and tanks where I get 25 combined. I usually drive to the same places every week, and the same style. I open it up here and there but I dont floor it from every light...I honestly notice my gas lasts longer when I use 89 instead of 87. Not kidding. The station down the street from me charges the same for both, so of course I get the 89, but if I'm out somewhere else and have to put the 87 in I feel like the tank goes quicker. Car doesn't run any different but I just feel like it drinks it faster. Call me crazy

I'd say you need stock spark plugs at stock gap (you did properly gap your plugs, right?), a cleaned MAF sensor, cleaned throttlebody, new fuel filter, and properly inflated tires. Do all of these things and see if your mileage changes.
If you're looking to throw a little more money at it, a custom or even shelf tune should get an extra mile or two out of each gallon.

Everyone keeps bashing Bosch plugs.
I understand the point of the Pt plugs - to prevent tip erosion. I also understand that they don't make as big of a spark as copper plugs.
That being said - I've had Bosch's in lots of cars without a single issue. Moreover, the only plug I ever HAD to replace was the Cu Champions I put in my GTP last summer.
Maybe I'm the exception to the rule but I have nothing bad to say about their plugs.

My gas mileage is comparable to yours. I average 16-17 in the city and about 25 on the highway. One question, why are you running 93 when a GT requires 87?

not to jack but how do you get that much in the brake booster line??
when i did it, it would rev up and run crazy and it was SOOO slow and i didn't make it very far. so either im impatient or something was wrong.
and i'm getting about 17-18 in the city on my stock GT. on road trips i get 25 though. so i guess its normal...

you are about normal on the fuel mileage. If you haven't changed your o2 sensors like others have said, I would go a head and replace those. I wouldn't use 93 octane either because you are just throwing extra money away. Your car should run just fine on 87 or 89. Also city driving can tend be harsh on anyone's fuel mileage because its stop n go most of the time. Freeway driving you'll notice your fuel mileage climb and if you use cruise control you should be getting around 30 mpg or so.

as soon as it got cold up here in ND i would do the math and would be getting 10-15 mpg with a 5 min warm up time
