Last Friday, I was out and about running errands. Leaving my last stop, my car (2000 Grand Prix N/A 3.8L Engine K) wouldn't start. It turned over but wouldn't maintain idle. Had a buddy meet me to help me look things over. It wouldn't stay idling unless the vacuum line was pulled. (No CEL).

MAF is reading 5v. Cleaned the IAC valve and MAF. Haven't tested IAC or TPS. Popped my OBDII on. Gave a soft code of P0122 (TPS). I already cleared it in hopes that would solve it (dumb).

Car starts when the engine is cold, but if I give it throttle when it's warm, it stalls out. If the engine is warm, it stalls out immediately when trying to start it.

If I left out a detail that will help you narrow it down, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

What vac. line are you disconnecting in order to get it to idle? It sounds like you have a sensor going bad when it gets warm. Have you tried getting the car warm to the point where it won't idle, shut it off and disconnect the MAF? Try starting it then and see what you get.

The vacuum line leading from the throttle body. Just tried starting it again with the line unplugged, and it didn't stay running long enough for me to disconnect the MAF.

Okay, unplugged the MAF, stalled out.

Connector boot was dry, so I tried some di-electric grease. No help.

Replaced the MAF and now, all is well!

Thanks to all that read my post!
