    Hey everyone,
I have a question about turbocharging my GP. This may be a dumb question, but they have several t3/t4 turbos available on e-bay. They do not come with all items I would need for install. I am wondering if they would work on my 05 GT as they say grand prix in item title, wondering also if they were junk, and last but not least if they would work what eslse would I need. Thanks for any time or effort put into this,, also I included a link to one of the adds for reference!!! (you may have to copy and paste, sorry!!!)

Seeing how a turbo can easily destroy your engine if not done right, I'd do it right the first time and buy one of the kits from an actual 3800 vendor. There's so much they don't include with that eBay crap, it's not even worth it. Injectors, tuning, piping...

^^^ I agree, while I've never had a problem with ebay items, it is a lot of risk to put together your own turbo setup.....

It can be done though, If you want to go turbo and don't want a vendor kit, just do your homework and ask lots of questions

I was kinda wondering the same thing. Say you wanted to piece one together and got the X over and rear log from ZZP and a T4 hybrid from ebay/online. would it be too much trouble later down the line to go from there? what else would you need (besides WG, BOV, and intake tubing)? I wouldn't need 400+ HP like the ZZP or CT kits. A modest 300 WHP would be great for me. I also have a ZZP 3" DP and would like to keep that... Thanks.

Very hard to do. Because the turbo is so far off to the side, it's nearly impossible to keep the stock DP mounting location. That's why most turbos just replaced the DP.

    You would need:
    The turbo,
    bigger injectors(depending on boost),
    oil lines and fittings,
the turbo exhaust (crossover, downpipe, rear p-log or other turbo manifoldor block off plate for rear manifold),
a wastegate(if the turbo doesn't have an internal one)
    air ducting,
the intercooler(highly recomonded for over 8Lbs of boost),
Blow off or recirculation valve (depending if you want to hear it )
    Lots of tunning.....

Like I said very doable and many have, but it usually cost the same to piece it together as it does to just buy a kit.....

And if you buy an Ebay turbo, remember that you get what you pay for, and I would worry about my engine ingesting impeller blades... but thats just my .02
