EGR can simply be cleaned. Injectors, you could connect a fuel pressure test gauge and prime the system. Then make sure it holds pressure.
Can you tell me where the EGR is, and how to clean it? Would carb cleaner work?
and how much should I expect to have to spend on a fuel pressure tester? I don't have one, and have never used one.
I wouldn't use carb cleaner on anything in my engine. It's very bad for sensors. TB cleaner would probably work. As far as where it is, it's to the driver side rear of the engine, a vertical looking cylinder with an electrical connector on top. If you don't have a Haynes/Chilton manual yet, you should get one.
I don't know the exact price, but they're not expensive. It's just a pressure gauge with a fitting.
That's only been because I haven't been working. When I start working again, which is next week, it will be between 20 and 30 miles a day.
