I notice the car runs a bit warmer than it usually does. It's only about 70 degrees out so far and the car creeps around 210. Is this normal for this engine?

Should I replace a thermostat? I'm talking stop and go traffic here, it does fine on the highway.

I should also mention, the trans is slipping a bit when the car is warm? How hard is it to drain the fluid? Just find the pan and replace the filter and fluid for now?

    Thanks guys

Yup drop the pan and swap the filter. 210 seams about right for stock. My car runs about 190 in heavy traffic with a 180 tstat. You could go ahead and swap the thermo anyways tho its about $8 and 2 min of work.

since there is no airflow the temp will creep up, i just click the heat on to number 1 and it usually keeps the engine cooler
