Whos has a top swapped engine and what are the main problems you have ran into if any?

Trying to convince my mom to stop saying all I will do is ruin the car.

Tough question... I think were gonna need some pics of your mom and a phone number for starters.

i like blue's response haha. i don't think you'll ever convince your parents that putting money into a car is a good thing. i know my parent's hate it, and threw a fit when i wanted to buy a new air filter and replace the spark plugs. might be something you just have to deal with

HA well ive done everything to my car with out them knowing. I had a HV3 put on in less than 30 minutes with my friend. If swaping the top didnt take so long id just do it at a friends house but I'm sure it will take longer than one day.

if everything goes together correctly, the car is tuned correctly, and you have the right supporting mods the car will run fine and it will run fine for a long time. most failures happen because something was messed up along the way.

unless you run on a crappy tune, dont have supporting mods or you busted the living crap out of your tranny, you should be fine.

besides, if its your car and your paying for it, they should lay off...

I was told "no spending money on your car" then one day they came home and found a blower...

What are they going to do? Take your car away?
