I hope you guys don't get pissed for me asking this, but I'm having no luck searching for info on this. I'm buying a wrecked 97 GTP to use as a donor car for my 99GT. What all will I need to use off of this car? I was thinking about dropping complete cradles, and swapping. Aswell as wiring in engine comp and computer. What about fuel pump? Do I need any other wiring for this? Thanks

Top swaps are ghey! Motor swap FTW haha.

Here's a writeup a friend Marc and I made on swapping the entire L67 motor into a L36 powered car. Dropping the cradle in my mind would make your job harder. Just pick up a hoist.. That being said, computer will require tuning, stock L36 fuel pump will be fine, and stock wiring is fine. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Anyhow, here's the link to the writeup

Also, I should note that there will be an additional tree on a 97 M90 case that will need to be plugged using on a 98+

Top swaps FTW...I'd keep the stock bottom end and get a PCM that is already tuned. Again...like said there are some differences with the '97 vs. a '99...PM a little Nancy on here named 99prixgt...he top swapped his '99 and can point you in the right direction with stuff

I like reliability and most top swaps have a life expectancy of what, a year tops?

not sure, im using an intense pcm, when dave @ 3ep looked at it, he said the timing is really conservative. The car really needs a dyno tune. If you know what your doing and have all the supporting mods a m90'd L36/26 is just as reliable. To pop a piston or spin a bearing is from someone doing something wrong.

Im only on 5psi, 8 if its below 26*, i get very little knock even in 18* weather. Most i had so far was 1.6* of knock in the top of 2nd gear

I'm not bashing your car or questioning what it's capable of. Just stating the obvious about 3.4 L67's haha
