Indeed they do, although Ive never liked the sound... Whipple SC would be my dream but its an even bigger money pit.
Do you guys recommend replacing any of the stock engine internals as well? I've read the 3800 engines are fairly strong, but what should be upgraded when installing a turbo kit? Valve springs, pistons etc.?
Well if youre going that high with power and torque, think about getting a tranny rebuilt from TEP...
Ugh. I ordered a new stock replacement fuel pump assembly from W Body Store, because my fuel gauge is out of whack. However, I just realized... Won't I need a stronger pump when I decide to go turbo? Or is there a re-wire kit I can use that will suffice? I heard the Racetronix one won't work for 2001+ GP's.
They said something about how they changed some things in the fuel pump in the 2001+ GP's. Here's the link: http://www.prjperformance.com/Products/RactronixFuelPump/index.html. So a simple fuel pump rewire and an alternator rewire would be enough voltage to support a turbo build? I'm going to go with the Z7 kit, by the way.

Oh and Bio, I think I'll go with the ZZP ST2 cam. What other valvetrain upgrades would you recommend to prevent me from blowing my engine to **** with a turbo? Lol. Remember, my car has 200,000 km. Thanks again bro.

I'm curious to see how this all works out for you because I have the exact same car and am stuck between the Z3 & Z7 kit with IC. Looking for a DD car, just want to pick up more power and be a lot of fun to drive but still be dependable. I am only looking to get to about 300 hp, so I was stepping up to the #42 injectors but was also told the same thing about the fuel pumps in the 01 GP's? Was told the rewire won't work and will need a new fuel pump, but have had difficulty in anyone telling me what pump I need? I'm in the same boat as you in regards to the fuel sending unit being bad, I never know how much fuel I have becuase the needle is all over the place. So I figure if I'm going to change the sending unit might as well get the new fuel pump installed at the same time, anyone have info on what I should drop in my tank for this type of set-up?
i dont know the specs on that cam, does the site give recommendations as to which valve springs to run? youll need beefier ones than stock, thats for sure.
a Z3 kit is going to put you over 300hp for sure. turbos are no joke on these cars when setup right. the racetronix setup you get from PRJ is the best fuel pump solution on the market.
