what could be the reason my 01 gprix is throwing 2 catalyst codes codes? im pretty lost and have no idea why these codes are being thrown a buddy of mine told fuel might not be getting burned in the cylinder and going down into the cat any help greatly appreciated

Clogged cat most likely...I think it was the '00-'02 GT's that had the bad converter recall...might try either gutting it or just buying a high flow one to replace it.

not sure of the years but i know for sure the 01s are covered by the extended catalytic converter warranty.
as always, if you posted the specific codes that would help us ALOT
