as long as shipping is like 50 dollars it is a good deal. It isnt from a 97 is it?
finding out both of those questions ... and what else would i need to complete the top swap or would that be it?
Copy'd this from the Top Swap Thread.
PARTS LIST
Heads from SC motor (Either Series will do, all the blocks are the came so all the heads can be interchanged)
Head Bolts, can be OEM replacements or Studs, up to you(Stock are Torque to Yield(one time use)
Thread Sealer (the head bolts go into the coolant jacket, and if they aren't sealed, they will weap coolant out)
Head Gaskets
Rocker boltsSame reason as the head bolts
Valve Cover Gaskets
Harmonic Balancer From the SC motor
Tensioner for SC belt
Idlers for Sc beltThese require bolts that aren't on the L26/L36
Coil Pack BracketThe tensioner and one of the idlers bolt to the SC Coil bracket (some 97 and 98 cars may not need a different bracket)
Lower Intake Manifold from the SC motor(The bolts are the same, so you can use your old LIM bolts if needed)
Lower intake Manifold Gaskets(the Aluminum ones are the Best)
Fuel Rail(you need the one that matches your fuel system, 97-03 gets the standard rail, while 04+ needs the return-less)
Fuel InjectorsAre not a requirement, but you should run the SC injectors or better flowing units
**Injector connectors may be required on some years
Supercharger
Supercharger Gasket(If you use a Gen III M90 you need O-rings as well)
Supercharger Belt
Throttle Body from SC motor(This isn't required but recommended)
Throttle Body Gasket
Colder Thermostat I Recommend 180*, but that is all personal preference
1 Step Cooler Spark PlugsUsually recommended for the Top Swap
Fluids Oil(a change needs to be done after Swap and before engine is started) Coolant(you will loose a good amount doing the Swap
Oil FilterFor above change
Tunned PCM Stock Gt settings are way too aggressive for a SC application, I suggest a tuner, but if you don't have time, a Canned tune can work
Exhaust Manifold Gaskets (optional)
If it IS from a '97 and you don't have a '97 then it is a no go. Vacuum lines are all sorts of messed up.
One thing that not mentioned that you WILL need are coil pack bolts. The L36 coil pack bolts are slightly bigger than the L67 ones. Make sure it has all the vacuum tubing included, it will make things easier. You will also need a map sensor adapter, you can get it from zzp.
You can't just slap on a top swap and call it a day.
your supporting mods list should look like this...
-headers (if u can't afford it, at least a plog)
-3" downpipe (if u get headers this is not needed)
-180* t-stat
-some type of intake
1 step cooler plugs are recommended but, a lot of guys i talked to run 2 step cooler, I went 2 steps cooler and a .54 gap.

That's crap. Give the people the right case for their car, I'd be ticked if I got a '97 case instead of a correct '98+ one. Another reason why I wouldn't recommend people buying from you.
Yea, your right, the guy specifically asked me to do his 97 case like this, but yea, your the expert here. Like i said before, you have no knowledge. Go home.
I posted this picture to show there are no differences other than the vacuum tree, which can be plugged with a 3/8" NPT plug, but i bet you didnt know that. Im tired of people saying how 97's are so much different when in fact they are not. Im here to clear up those common misconceptions.
ok i already have all the supporting mods im just wondering if this would be a good deal for all these parts... 300 plus 75 shipping
1 70k stock supercharger (all bolts for sc)
1 70k stock lim (no bolts you can use the ones from you're NA motor
2 109 k stock heads.
1 stock fuel rail
6 stock injectors
all from a 1998 grand prix gtp.
for an extra 50$ ill throw in the ported TB with sensors on it, and HAI with 4in cone filter. and hardware to put it all on.
sounds about right price wise.....
Good deal, don't waste the money on an HAI though, just get an FWI or go open cone.
i already have a FWI do i need the TB tho?
so do you guys think i could find a better deal or should i go for it?
you probably wont find too much better of a deal.......I would go for it. If you do find a better deal, you arent going to get that stuff much cheaper than you have found it for.
