    Ha, Where did this $150 figure come from?


    $50 for LIM gasket
    $60 - 100 for Head gaskets
    $30-100 for Head bolts
    $15-30 for Rocker bolts
    $15ish for coolant
    $10ish SC gasket
    $10ish TB gasket
    $5-7 for coolant elbows
    $50ish for synthetic oil
    $30ish for valve cover gaskets
    $10ish for RTV
    $10ish for Thread locker

    and more I'm sure I forgot, expect to spend just about as much on this junk as you did the hard parts

    yeah............top swaps are not as cheap as everyone thinks, by the time this stuff is added into it, the tune, and the supporting mods that you should have.

    Yeah actually that's about what I paid for everything lol, I don't know where I got 150 from.

    Coolant and oil - walmart.
    Head Gaskets - Autozone.

    yeah, just get a gasket kit from ZZP. i even bought my head gaskets from there the first time i did it.

    awful zone fails, it took 2 days for my one head gasket to come which was damaged, and the other one never came. I got a refund and went through zzp.

    Well...do you need those things they list such as a cam/crank bolt and VC gaskets?! If not then No.

    doing a top swap without a cam is fairly ill advised. it will make your whole world a whole lot easier if you get a cam right away. just get one that works well on stock heads.

    Why shouldn't you do a swap without a cam?
