2001 gt recently started jerking, at highway speed .and the speed odometer would go up to 90 mph when your going 55-60 mph it did this a few weeks ago and i replaced the icm, crank position sensor, and different coils. this seemed to fix for a while, but now i am back to square one. i do not want to throw more parts at it ,without more knowledge or $$! any body had this problem or a ideal what this might be thanks.

If you mean VSS (vehicle speed sensor) I would agree. That would've been my guess, but I suppose I don't visit here that often. Glad you figured it out.

Wheel speed sensors have nothing to do with the speedometer.

Most people don't seem to know the difference between a VSS and WSS anyway.

I can assure that the knowledge on this site is far superior - as a collective - than any other GP site that you will find. One big contributor as to why you didn't get an answer was the fact that most - if not all; of our local group (KCCGP) wasn't doing much "board surfing" during the week you posted this - we lost a member and good friend on the 22nd very unexpectedly. And besides, we're all smarter than EVERYONE else.

But seriously - you won't find a better (collective) forum for your questions - from simple to highly technical - than this place here.

Oh - and yes; you're problem is text book VSS failure.

Glad to hear you got it figured out, and don't hesitate to post up again with any questions/problems you may have.
