Some helpfull info to remember, the intake air temperature significantly influences the horsepower output of an engine. For example, if an engine's intake temperature was dropped from 110°F to 75°F, then the change is horsepower is approximately +7% ( -1% @ 75°F minus -8% @ 110°F). If the engine normally produces 200 horsepower, then this 7% increase in power translates to about a 14 horsepower increase. Achieving the lowest possible intake temperatures is therefore very advantageous.

ZZP has good links if you look up the wizaired kit on their site. They have boatloads of info supporting the advantage of these kits. I eventually went with the wizaired kit because it was rated number one, and had the data to support its claims.

Yeah once you open up that side it gives you the opportunity to show off your PCM. Before i went with the Wizaired box, I cut my stock box and made a custom tray. I painted my PCm to match the car. Then I bought a prgrammed PCM from PFYC and polished that. But now you cant see it. Hidden under my 9" cone.

ok I have the cold air intake that I bought off ebay and I have 99 prix it was easy to install. I have had this intake on my car for 2 years now, I believe it has given my car more umph! not to mention a little more growl when it takes off, you can really hear it suck the air in til it quiets down( when you put it in drive) I have had no ill problems so I say go ahead and get one. but when you take out your factory air tank you will have to secure the computer situated in the bottom of the air box. enjoy

Kinda late, I know, but I'm starting to browse here more.

I added a WizAired intake to my L36 and it is one of the best mods I've done to date. I couldn't believe how much my current intake was holding me back.

    Hi to all,

I'm new on this, but have been reading a lot lately about Air Intake and other things. I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1 with a 3800 III Series Naturally Aspired and the car is Stock for now but not for very long. I want to install an Air Intake like a K&N or something like that. But I have a question about it and I want to know: What do you think about the Electronic Turbo Systems? I mean, I was browsing on Ebay and I saw one at aprox. $70.00 and the vendor is advertising that "... expect over 2 - 3 psi boost ...", here's a pic of the system: http://exmotorz.com/electricsupercharger/turbo5.jpg I really don't know what to think, I'll expect to learn a lot from this.

    Thanks to you all.

They're a complete gimmick. The power required to pump that much air is more than your alternator is capable of delivering. Simple math.

All they're selling you is a glorified leaf blower motor. Probably not worth $20.

FYI, eBay should be your last place to look for performance parts.

To name a few. Be sure to read ZZP's "worthless mods" section.

every test of the tornado I have seen shows a loss of hp (popular mechanics even showed it was a fraud)

hey have any of you seen a setup to utilize the fresh air intake from adding the WS6 hood? I'm going to be making that hood in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if anyone has made or seen a box for our car to use with that hood.

I think I'm going to have to make one, but just thought I'd ask first
