Hey guys how is it going? Rightnow I am using a ac delco oil filter and was wanting to try another brand. I have been reading up on the K&N oil filter and the M1 filter. I have read a few things on the WIX filters and a lot of people like them. Should I just stick with ac delco or try something else?

acdelco if I dont stop at the shop before I take it in, if I stop its only WIX.

Its the only two ive ever used, including tranny filters.

I am still skeptical on the K&N oil filters..

there are only a couple filter manufacturers, acdelco are private label wix filters.

the worst filters to use all around are fram, I think if you stay way from fram you should be ok.

I've used ACDelco, STP, K&N, Amsoil, and Wix. All good. If someone tries to sell you a Fram, take it from them and crush it against the side of their head.

I stick with the delco here. I have used K&N and mobil 1 as well. I used the mobil 1 when autozone had a deal going on when buying mobil 1 oil and getting the filter free.

I use mobil 1 extended, my next oil change I'm going to use Napa gold on the advice of Overkill. On powerblock tv they showed some rp oil filters, I may try them since I use their oil.

I am trying RP in my car and for what I paid for it I want to get the most out of the oil. Every car I have owned I have used AC Delco and never had eny trouble with it. I don't know how many miles I could go on the filter. I just want something that will go at least 6k miles. Will the ac delco last that long?

I change my oil about every 6000 miles and I use the delco filter. It does its job. I also use mobil 1 synthetic oil.

FYI Autozone currently has a sale on oil and a filter. Buy 5 qts of Castrol Syntec and a K&N filter for $29.99. Sale is from March 12th - April 8th 2009.

Then use a WalMart SuperTech filter. It is cheaper, and a much better filter.

I tend to run a Mobile 1 filter on the GTP. The M102 has a slightly larger capacity, too.
