Hey everyone. I have an 06 Grand Prix with the NA 3800 Series 3. A junkyard near me has a wrecked GTP of the same body style, my best guess would be an 04 or 05, and I was wondering if it would be possible to pull the supercharger off of it, and if so, what all would I need to put it on mine? Without having been able to find anything online, I've been thinking of pulling the blower, crank pulley, and ECU. I'd be buying a new blower belt. Is there anything else I would need to make this happen, like an intercooler or wastegate?
    Thanks!

Search this forum for "top swap". You'll need the heads, LIM, blower, brackets, fuel rail/injectors and some other stuff off the GTP to make it work. Then all the gaskets, fluids, might as well replace the hoses while there, etc. And a tune for the ECU. Either have it tuned by someone or buy HP Tuners and do it yourself. There are plenty of people here that can help with that.

if it was crashed the tranny is likely still good. so id take the engine and tranny and its pcm and put that in your car. 06 pcm is not tunable, and using the 04-05 pcm will make the gas gauge read backwards, other then that the vin# wont match for a obd2 scan for inspection if you have that.

Forgive my ignorance, but why would I need to pull the tranny? I was under the impression that they both had the 4t65e.
As far as the gas gauge reading backwards, I suppose I could always just reverse the polarity of the signal on it's way into the dash.

not the same gears, and being the 06 cant be tuned you cant run sc injectors or lower the timing. why i say take it all and swap it.

doesn't work that way, the fuel level is sent to the cluster by the PCM on the serial bus.

HP Tuners supports 2006-2007 grand prixs.

Only the 2008 can't be tuned.
