    Hello,

I have possible 2 lines that are corroded, and I can smell gas from one of them, but it's not leaking yet.

This is located on the lines under the driver's seat.

Can I just cut out the line, enough to put a replacement pc of metal line with connectors? or would neoprene be better?
I am not familiar with fuel lines and can't find much information on how to replace sections or if this is something I can do.

Please help ASAP, so I can get it fixed ASAP.

Also which website has good prices on metal return and feed metal gas lines?

    Thank you.

There's a couple of different solutions you could take here. The first would be to take the car to a shop and have them fix the really rusted section of the line with some rubber hose or something. I don't think they will patch up the line with the metal. The problem with patching it though, is that the entire fuel line likely needs replacing. And if the fuel lines need replacing, the brake lines are soon to follow. When removing the fuel lines, it's quite likely you will agitate the rusted brake lines, and they will start leaking.... so brace yourself for that. The second approach is to replace the entire line. I am currently replacing fuel and brake lines. I ordered fuel line from Lines-to-Go. They are not expensive, and come in 2 sections making them easy to install. That being said, install isn't the easiest but not the worst. I would gauge it at 6/10.

The lines take a week to arrive, free shipping from Canada:

Brake lines from Classic Tube. They arrive in 2 weeks:

You should never fix high pressure fuel injection line with rubber even if its FI rated. Few choices, ordering up several sticks of ni-cop brake line in appropriate size and bend up new line. Locating a local auto tech with Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool to have specific flares added.
Also finding a tech that cares about making line look and fit like stock.
Another thought is to buy an aftermarket nylon fuel line kit and appropriate ends. Learn how to properly install the plastic fuel line is pretty easy, remove rusty line and swap in plastic line. Also zip ties can help hold it in place. As l8ng as you keep it away from exhaust or insulate it well your good to go. Also if pressure line is rusted, bet return is too and possibly brake lines.
IF REPLACING PARTIAL BRAKE LINES DO NOT USE BRASS COMPRESSION FITTINGS IN THEM ITS DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL.
Go to NAPA and get steel compression fittings. I perfer either flaring lines, and using inverted flare unions and piecing system together.
Now if you decide to do rake lines also look for a Phoenix Systems reverse fluid injection, leave lines loose at ABS air doesnt get into it and cause bleeding issues.
Ask me how i know how to do this, I am a tech by trade and have done dozens of these.
Oh and a quick note, the right front brake line does not have to cross the exhaust tunnel. I run my lines across the firewall and down behind coolant tank.
Bending new brake or fuel lines with new NI-COP line makes job so much easier,,,and i picked up line bending pliers from Lisle. And if I ever relined your car it would look like factory most likely.
    Good luck.
