My air intake hose is ripped badly at the end where it goes on the throttle body. What other kind of hose could I use to replace it.

I'd look for another just like it at a salvage yard on any 3800 car.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

hit a junk yard and get a 99 up air box, they run like 12 bucks. that 97 air box is crap.

or buy a open cone filter and 5 bucks worth of pvc elbows and a coupler at home depot.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

3 inch rubber coupler from the plumbing isle. its got clamps and a metal band around it, you remove the metal part on it and use the rubber and two clamps.

then you want a 3 inch street pipe, the small end is 3 inch, the fat side is 4 inches. so make sure you get a 4 inch filter to fit the fat end.

i used a 45º elbow. if you can find a 60º iirc thats a better angle to the head light area.

you can just lay the pcm on the flat area there. mines there loose for 5 years.

and you need to drill a hole for the ait sensor.

So you have a 4in coupler on the throttle, a 3 in pvc in the middle and a 3 in coupler on the air filter end?

3 inch coupler, 3 inch pipe. the fat end of the pipe is 4 inches, where the filter goes.

how to hang the pipe if you want to paint it. sand it first to scuff it up. then paint it.

but see the fat side at the bottom thats the 4 inch side for the air filter.

I got mine (a dry AEM) at 9" x 3.25" or 3.5", forget which one, for $30 off of eBay. I bet you'd be fine with any good dry filter.
