I've been losing coolant in my 1995 grand prix 3100 in this past weekend my heater core went out so I but I passed it and now there's coolant in my oil I know that usually means a head gasket but is there anyway it could be and intake manifold and if it is a head gasket should I use a stop a leak like steel sea or should I go to the trouble of replacing the head gasket

coolant in your oil is probably a lower intake manifold gasket. also known as a LIM. its a pretty extensive job.

Yep. Replace the LIM gasket. And I wouldn't be driving it since you know for sure you have coolant in the oil. You are just a spun bearing waiting to happen, then the leak won't matter much. And no, don't dump stop leak in it, as it will clog the heater core and rad as well. Never a good idea.

It's not to bad of a job only takes about 3 times as long as doing it on a 3800. It's about a $100 fix if your doing it yourself.

A ton of swearing. Actually..you should get a book, you'll swear so much you need some new material. Enjoy the alternator..that's a funny one..not even long enough wires to unplug it decently.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
