Im just going to assume that water is getting in somewhere but i dont know where or how. Car is a 99 gp no mods. First started when i drove through a puddle (nothing big) and the car would only rev to 2k and start missing, towed it home and it drove fine. Now it sometimes does it when in rains hard, The car will drive just fine but will break up at 2k. ive checked the intake and all vacuum lines but im at a loss

ive checked all of that but will check it again. I have no idea where it could be getting in. Could it be a sensor getting wet

just throwing this out there, but how are your plug wires? if they are real old (hard/cracks) they wont work well wet. or you could have bare wires at the plugs of some key sensors. (bad pig tails)

i used to spray my trucks wires down with wd-40 when i was flood running, it helps to keep them running in deep water. if it died in the water, we would pull it out, re spray the engine with wd-40 and they always started back up after doing so.

same symptoms as you, fighting to get any rpm out of it, and stall at idol, spray it and it would run perfect again.

Plug wires are new. Im not getting an cel either. I think i might spray the engine compartment one spot at a time to try and pinpoint an area to start from
