my gf has a 99 grand prix with the 3.1...and her battery keeps going dead...i replaced the alternator and starter..but still dies i'll be driving down the road and the stereo will cut off, lights will dim, and wipers struggle to move. once that happens if i shut it off it wont start again...but i was snooping around the engine bay and found this...iunno what exactly it is but im sure its not supposed to jus be hanging there..maybe goes to the starter and could this be where all my powers draining?..the wires feed back into that tubing also

That's the cable going from your alternator to your starter. You need to bolt it to the starter terminal that goes to your battery. Without it there your alternator isn't charging the battery.

I would say that would cause the lights to come on right away, The abs pump wouldnt be getting suficient power if any at all.

Let us know if it did indeed so;ve the problem.
